A Kalash woman wearing the “shushut”, traditional headdress worn daily. The Kalashs have fairly clear skin, translucent blue eyes, and differents physical traits from Pakistanis and Afghans. The latest scientific studies contradicted their descent from Alexander the Great, a belief spread in several communities in this region of Asia. Their origin remains unknown.
